Orange Grove stepway completed – October 2011 Featured
IMPROVING YOUR ENVIRONMENT – LAGO JARDIN 1 MANZANA 2
The steps overlooking the orange groves on Manzana 2 were left in a very unsafe condition when contractors were forced to stop work by a very small minority group of owners.
Many complaints regarding the dangerous condition of the steps were made to your legal committee, and it was decided that action must be taken on your behalf.
The steps and risers were repaired and resurfaced by volunteer workers. Materials were funded by your committee.
Your President Larry McKinney, vice-presidents Ann Marie Lightfoot and Tarja Murrosvirta gave their full support.
The opening “ceremony” was conducted in good heart and humour by your president Larry, who thanked the volunteers sincerely for their efforts and hard work.
A ribbon was stretched, then cut by senior residents Kitty and Pierre Mikel, who were particularly delighted with, and relieved to see, the finished safe stepway.
Further projects to enhance the community environment can only be completed when all owners pay outstanding fees to your legal committee.
